Graduate

The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers three graduate degree programs: Master of Science, Master of Engineering, and Ph.D.

4+1 Program

The 4+1 BME/MEM degree program is for highly-qualified undergraduate students who wish to earn both the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (BME) and the Master of Engineering (MEM) degree in 5 years of full-time study.

Distance Learning/Certificate

The department is committed to enhancing opportunities for non-traditional education through a variety of options in our focus areas.

Diversity Programs

The department seeks to recruit, retain, and graduate more women and students of color through the implementation of programs to assist in the achievement of academic, career, and personal goals.

Perfectly pitched - Horn Program in Entrepreneurship announces winner of first video competition

Austin Crouse, a University of Delaware mechanical engineering major, took home the top prize of $1,000 in the Horn Program in Entrepreneurship's first entrepreneurial video pitch competition, "Perfect Pitch," with his video for Rapid Print, a 3D part and component printing business.
