Exergy Analysis of Hybrid Bus

Exergy analysis plays a critical role in the design and implementation of thermodynamic systems. The objective of the current analysis is to evaluate exergy loss within the multiple subsystems in our fuel cell bus and identify ways to improve overall system efficiency.The fuel cell balance of plant includes an air compressor, hydrogen recirculating pump, humidifiers, heat exchangers, and coolant loops, all of which consume a significant fraction of the fuel cell output. It is important to evaluate the exergy destruction through the stack and all of the balance of plant components, especially as a function of the prevailing weather conditions.
