Grading:

                                                        Homework 15%
                                                        Labs 20%
                                                        Tests (2) 20% (each)
                                                        Final 25%

 

 

Homework:

The homework grade will be based on the grading of in-class assignments and selected exercises.

 

Labs:

Student should come to lab prepared. This includes reading the lab write-up before performing the lab. Write-ups will be available on-line before the lab session. (Lab #1, Lab #2, Lab #3, Lab #4, Lab#5)

Students are expected to observe safety regulations in the laboratory at all times. Goggles are required and students should not wear open toed shoes, loose fitting clothing or jewelry in the lab. You will be assigned to a laboratory group and a lab meeting time of two hours per week. Your group will meet in the laboratory for 5 two-hour sessions over the course of the semester according to the lab scheduleLaboratory reports are due two weeks after the scheduled laboratory session. Late laboratory reports will not be accepted.

 

 

Exams:

The midterm exams are scheduled for a class session. Make-up exams will not be given.

 

Final:

The final exam will be scheduled during finals week by the university. The exam will be cumulative, but will focus on the material presented after the second exam.
