Welcome to the Nanomaterials for Energy Lab, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Delaware.  Our focus is on the development of new structures and  nanomaterials for fuel cells, solar cells, hydrogen generation and other renewable energy sources.  We are particularly interested in materials for solid oxide fuel cells.

  1. Congratulations to Phil Zandona on successfully presenting his Master’s thesis!

  2. Our poster describing the impedance of polycrystals with distributed grain boundary properties won a Best Poster award at the 19th International Conference in Solid State Ionics.

  3. Our paper on high conductivity in strained YSZ thin films was featured on UDaily.
